You can either use the Superpatch provided by EA - Using the link from Nraas, as it's got some good info on the patch. To install via disc, you'll need a external dvd drive, a patch, and Nraas NoCD mod. This way the game client won't try to take over the game install. You will need to first login with your EA Account and disable Game Updates for Sims 3. Please note: If you do use Origin/EA App for any other games. Newer discs require Origin, will have an Origin logo on them. If you still have your discs - and the base game disc was manufactured before September 2012 (check the copyright date in the fine print on the disc or back of the dvd box.) You can still install them and play Sims 3, without the need for any game clients.
